Privacy policy
By signing up and using one of the applications developed by me, Simon Braillard, you will provide and I will collect a certain amount of information about you, including some information that can identify you. This is what we call your « Personal Data », referring to data that can identify you directly, such as your name, first name, or image, or indirectly, your browsing and interaction data. It is important that you know how this data is collected, what I do with it, for how long, and that you are informed about your rights. This is the purpose of this document, which I try to make as clear and simple as possible. If despite my efforts, you still have questions, feel free to contact me using the information provided in the contact section below.
This privacy commitment applies to all applications developed by Simon Braillard. However, not all applications are subject to data collection as described above. To know exactly what information is collected for each application, you can refer to the page of the application in question on the Apple App Store, for example.
Who is responsible for processing your personal data?
It’s me, Simon Braillard. I am a student, an independent Swiss developer based in Lausanne. My applications vary:
- Buvons: an application that does not collect specific user tracking data but collects data anonymously from app navigation, a public advertising ID, and your approximate location based on your IP address.
- SudoDuo: an application for playing Sudoku. Data is collected in the same way as on Buvons.
- Helvet Bill: an application for generating invoices. This application requires the creation of an account. The application collects data as described below.
What data do I collect?
To enable my applications to function, I collect the information (I) that you provide directly and (II) the data I collect automatically.
(I) The data you provide directly
Data related to your registration: to use Helvet Bill, you need to create an account and provide me with some of the following identification information:
- Information needed to create the account: display name and email address.
- Account information: address and IBAN.
- General invoice settings: logo, company name, website, etc. (All fields on the Settings page)
- If you subscribe to a paid plan, the clients and invoices you create from the app.
(II) The Data I collect when you use my applications
Note that browsing data in an application is not linked to specific users; it is therefore anonymous and is collected using Google Analytics. This data is collected to improve the applications.
I automatically collect:
- Your approximate location linked to your IP address.
- An ID to send you notifications, if you have authorized them.
- The content you publish on the various applications.
- Your device’s language, the version of the application you are using, your battery level, and other information related to your device or the application.
- An advertising ID linked to Google Analytics.
- Any crash or log data from the applications.
What are the legal grounds for collecting?
When I collect and process your Personal Data, it may be:
- To allow you to access my applications and ensure they function correctly.
- To fulfill a legal obligation: for example, I may be required to retain data identifying content creations and transmit it to authorities upon request.
- Based on your consent.
How do I use the data I collect?
I use the collected data to improve the functioning of the application, fix potential bugs, and create a contact list for sending advertising emails. However, this data is never sold.
How long do I retain your data?
You can delete your account at any time directly from the application. However, if you decide to delete your account, this action will be irreversible. All data related to your account will be deleted and cannot be recovered. Additionally, if a subscription is taken, it is your responsibility to unsubscribe from the purchase store where it was made. Deleting an account does not cancel the subscription.
Who has access to the data I collect?
Note that none of the data you provide to me is given or sold to third parties. I am the only one with access to this data.
Is your data transferred outside the European Union?
Processing your Personal Data under the conditions described in this document sometimes involves transferring this data to one or more other countries, inside or outside the European Economic Area, for example, to Switzerland or the United States. For example, data related to Google Analytics may pass through foreign countries. However, the database used to store data related to Helvet Bill is located on a server in Zurich, Switzerland.
For Helvet Bill, data such as login information, settings, invoices, or clients are all stored in Switzerland.
How is your data protected?
To process and store your data, I use Google services. I secure your data to ensure that only you or I have access to it.
However, zero risk does not exist on the Internet, and I cannot guarantee 100% security of Personal Data. This is why it is important to notify me immediately if you believe you are a victim of a security breach of your Personal Data, by contacting me through the contact page.
What are your rights?
You have the right to access your Personal Data and request that it be rectified, completed, or updated. You can also request the deletion of your Data (or delete your account), object to its processing, or request that it be restricted, under the conditions of applicable regulations.
You can request to exercise your right to data portability, i.e., the right to receive your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used format, and the right to transfer this data to another data controller.
You also have the right to define instructions regarding the fate of your Personal Data after your death.
To exercise your rights, any form of identity verification will be required (if you delete your data linked to an account you own on one of my applications). You can make your request by contacting me via the contact page.
I will do my best to satisfy your requests, but remember, this right is not unlimited and must be exercised under the conditions defined by current regulations. Requests to exercise rights should not be abusive. If applicable, I will explain the reasons why I cannot fulfill your request.
