Privacy policy

By registering and using one of the applications developed by me, Simon Braillard, you will provide me and I will collect a certain amount of information about you, some of which is likely to identify you. This is what we call your « Personal Data », meaning data that can identify you directly, such as your name, first name or image, or indirectly, your navigation and interaction data. It is important that you know how this data is collected, what I do with it, for how long, and that you are informed about your rights. This is the purpose of this document, which I try to make as clear and simple as possible. If, despite my efforts, you still have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the coordinates indicated in the contact section below.

This privacy statement applies to all applications developed by Simon Braillard. However, not all applications are subject to data collection as described above. To know exactly what information is collected for each application, you can refer to the page of the application in question on the Apple App Store for example.

Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data ?

It’s me, Simon Braillard. I’m a student, Swiss freelance developer based in Lausanne. My applications are various:

  • Buvons: an application that does not collect any tracking data from a specific user but collects data, anonymously, from browsing the application and an advertisement IDs.
  • SudoDuo: an app for doing sudokus. The data is collected as on Buvons.
  • Birrino: a kind of social network, to drink beers with your friends. The data collected is linked to the user as described above.

What data do I collect?

In order for my applications to work, I collect information (I) that you provide directly to us as well as (II) data that I collect automatically.

(I) Data that you transmit directly to us

Your registration data: in order to use some of my applications, you must create an account and provide me with some of the following information about your identification:

  • Your profile picture: the picture you decide to put on your profile must represent you. This allows other users to be able to identify you in the operation of my applications.
  • Your last name, first name and a possible nickname (visible to other users).
  • On some applications, like Birrino, you will add information to the the application. This information (on Birrino for example, a drink) can contain a location if you have decided to allow it when using the application. of the application.

All this information may be available to other users. For example, on Birrino, this information is shared with users who are in the same room as you. as you.

(II) The Data I Collect When You Use My Applications

Please be aware that browsing data in an application is not linked to a to a user, so it is anonymous and is collected using Google Analytics. This data is collected for the purpose of improving the applications.

I automatically harvest:

  • Your location, if you’ve authorized it
  • An ID to send you notifications, if you’ve allowed them.
  • The content you post on the different apps
  • The language of your device

What is the legal basis for collection?

When I collect and process your Personal Information, it may be:

  • To allow you to have access to my applications
  • To fulfill a legal obligation: I may be required, for example, to retain data identifying content creations and to transmit them to the authorities in case of requests.
  • On the basis of your consent.

How do I use the data I collect?

I use the collected data to improve the functioning of the application, to build a contact list in order to send emails for advertising purposes (to promote my other applications).

How long do I keep your data?

You can delete your account at any time. Not all applications currently allow the deletion of the account directly from the application, however, if this is the case, you can write to me to request the complete deletion of your account and information about you. Eventually, your account can be deleted directly from the application and this on all applications.

For the deletion of an account on an application in which you can not do it directly from the application, you must send me an email (found in the contact section below) with the subject: « Delete my account » followed by the name of the application. It is imperative to send me this email with a proof of identity of any kind.

Who has access to the data I collect?

Please know that none of the data you provide me with is given or sold to third parties. I am the only one who has access to this data. Except for the ones mentioned above which may be shared with other users.

Is your data transferred outside the European Union?

The processing of your Personal Data under the conditions described in this document sometimes involves transferring this data to one or more other countries, inside or outside the European Economic Area, for example to Switzerland or the United States. However, the database used is stored on a server located in Western Europe.

How is your data protected?

To process and store your data, I use google services. I secure your data so that no one but you, me, or the users you have authorized can access it.

However, there is no such thing as zero risk on the Internet and I can’t guarantee the security of your Personal Data at 100%. That is why it is important to let me know immediately if you think that your Personal Data has been breached, by contacting me through the contact page.

What are your rights?

You have the right to access your Personal Data and to request that it be corrected, completed or updated. You can also request the deletion of your Data (or delete your account), oppose their processing or request that it be limited, under the conditions of the applicable regulations.

You can ask to exercise your right to portability, i.e., the right to receive your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used format and the right to transmit this data to another data controller.

You also have the right to define directives concerning the fate of your Personal Data after your death.

To exercise your rights, you will be asked to provide proof of identity of any kind (if you delete your data linked to an account you have on one of my applications). You can make your request by contacting me via the contact page.

I will do my best to satisfy your requests but remember, this right is not unlimited and must be exercised in accordance with the conditions defined by the regulations in force. Requests for the exercise of rights must not be abusive. If necessary, I will explain the reasons why I cannot comply with your request.
